Anna Gunn

Anna Gunn is an American actor from the United States. She is most famous for her role as Skyler in AMC's Breaking Bad drama, and she was the recipient of the Primetime Emmy Award Outstanding Supporting Female Actress in Drama Series 2013 & 2014. She also appeared in Jean Ward in The Practice, and Martha Bullock in Deadwood. Anna Gunn began acting as an infant at Sante Fe New Mexico. The family moved to Ohio and she continued her love of performing on stage. She attended theatre classes in the theatre department at Northwestern University and spent a semester at the British American Drama Academy. Anna began her journey in Chicago and worked in theater role for several years. After that, she relocated to Hollywood and began acting in movies and television shows. Anna had her biggest break in 1992 when she appeared as Arden for the duration of 29 episodes on Down the Shore. After appearing as a Guest Star in several TV Shows and films, such as Seinfeld as well as NYPD Blue during the 90's and was later given the role of Jean Ward as part of The Practice. She was cast as Martha Bullock in Deadwood for two seasons during the 2000s. Skyler appeared as Martha Bullock in Breaking Bad (2008). Sully is the Deadwood film, and other movies also featured her. Gunn has also appeared on stages in David Schwimmer's production Sex With Strangers. She also appeared in the audio drama podcast series of four parts called Numbered Days, which was made available in 2022. Breaking Bad often revolves around Walter White and Skyler's relationship. Its strain and ultimate end reflect the final years that were the life of Walter White.
